It was an honor to moderate the panel discussion, “Justice denied? Access to justice for victims of sexual violence” for an audience of over 200 at ICRC’s Humanitarium on September 11, 2019.
The speakers, Cecile Aptel (IFRC), Claude Maon (MSF) and Christine Alai (independent human rights lawyer) shared their insights and expertise, and wrestled with the real-world challenges of bringing access to justice to survivors of all genders. The event was warmly introduced by Helen Durham (ICRC) and closed with gracious comments by Joanina Karugaba (UNHCR).
